Cut-Off Times for Same-Day Courier Collection with CourGo

CourGo provides same-day courier pickup from most locations, as long as you book before the designated cut-off time.
Cut-off times vary by postcode, with most areas offering booking windows between 12pm and 3pm — and many London postcodes allowing even later collections.
When you request a CourGo quote, each service clearly shows the available pickup day and the remaining time you have to place your booking to secure a same-day collection.

Jargon buster: A “cut-off time” simply means the booking deadline for a same-day collection. To have your parcel picked up on the same day you book online, you’ll need to place your booking before the cut-off time for your area.

Selecting Your CourGo Collection Time

Courier collections take place between 9am and 7pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), and specific pickup times unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. However, ParcelHero allows you to choose a preferred collection window so you don’t have to wait in all day.

During the booking process, you can select both the collection date and your preferred time window. For example, if the cut-off time in your area is 12pm, you’ll be able to choose a collection slot anytime between 12pm and 7pm.

Booking a Pickup from a Different Address

To arrange a courier collection from a different address, you’ll need to provide the phone number and email address of the contact person at the pickup location. The shipping documents will then be emailed to the sender, along with simple instructions on what to do next.

CourGo Recommends:

Make sure to confirm with the shipper that they’ve received the email containing the shipping labels and have followed the instructions to print and attach the label to the parcel before collection.

Ensure the shipper is aware of our packaging and labelling guidelines so the items are properly prepared for transport.

Scheduling a CourGo Collection from Abroad

Our import services offer same-day collection from most countries worldwide, making them ideal for urgent international shipments. The process works just like our domestic courier collection service—simply provide the phone number and email address of the contact person at the pickup location when booking online.

CourGo Recommends:

Confirm with the shipper that they’ve received the email containing the shipping labels and have followed the instructions to print and attach the label to the parcel before collection.

Make sure the shipper is informed about our packaging and labelling criteria so your items are properly prepared for transport.

If Your Collection Doesn’t Go Ahead

A collection can fail for several reasons. The most common is that the shipper wasn’t available when the courier attempted pickup. However, delays can also occur if the courier is unable to locate the collection address or if they run out of time due to heavy traffic.

CourGo Recommends:

If the courier hasn’t arrived by 4pm, please contact us and we’ll follow up on the collection for you. If you’re abroad, you can also get in touch with the local courier directly in your country.

How to re-book a collection or change the collection date

Re-booking a collection with ParcelHero is simple. Just track your shipment and, on the tracking page, select the option to “Change Collection Date.”

Shipping Labels and Documentation

Once your booking is complete, ParcelHero will supply all the shipping documents you need. You must print the barcoded label and attach one to each parcel before collection.

Steps for Attaching Labels to Your Parcel

The collection courier will usually provide a ‘documents enclosed’ pouch for attaching each label. If one isn’t available, you can simply secure the shipping label to the box with clear packing tape—just make sure the barcodes are flat, visible, and not covered by tape.

Steps for Attaching Your Customs Invoice

If your parcel is being sent directly to a country outside the EU, such as Bangladesh or India, ParcelHero will generate the customs invoices for you to print and attach to your parcel. If your parcel goes through our sortation centre in Haverhill, we will handle the customs paperwork for you upon arrival, so you don’t need to worry about affixing it yourself.

CourGo Recommends:

Place a spare address label inside the box.

If reusing a box, remove all previous labels and markings before use.

Review our labelling and packaging guidelines before shipping.

Courier Shipment

We can ship anything from a small parcel to a large parcel or pallet. Deliveries are made between 9am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. We offer standard UK overnight delivery, fast worldwide delivery, as well as timed AM and Saturday delivery options for urgent shipments.

As we work only with the best UK delivery partners, most CourGo services include three delivery attempts as standard. The services that do not include three delivery attempts are:

CourGo UPS Access Point Delivery (UK)

For UK deliveries of items under 20kg, CourGo makes one delivery attempt. If the delivery is unsuccessful, the parcel is taken to the nearest UPS Access Point, usually a local retailer, for collection. If a delivery attempt has been made, a courier calling card will be left in your letterbox.

CourGo EU Economy Delivery (DPD)

For items sent to the EU via DPD, CourGo makes only one delivery attempt. If delivery is unsuccessful, DPD will hold your parcel at their nearest depot. You must collect it within 5 working days, or it will be automatically returned to the shipper.
